"You are not starting over. You are starting from experience."
There comes a point in life when everything you've built no longer fits the person you are becoming.
It's uncomfortable.
The relationships you've outgrown.
The habits you've tolerated.
The career that once fulfilled you.
The version of yourself you've spent years protecting.
And because everything looks different, it's easy to convince yourself that you're starting over.
But you are not!
Starting over implies that everything you have lived through was wasted. It wasn't.
Every disappointment taught you discernment.
Every heartbreak taught you what love should - and shouldn't - feel like.
Every closed door redirected you toward a purpose you couldn't see at the time.
Every failure gave you wisdom that success never could.
You are not rebuilding from nothing.
You're rebuilding from experience.
There's a difference.
Sometimes we become so focused on mourning the life we though we'd have that we miss the beauty of the life we're creating.
Healing doesn't erase your story.
Growth doesn't delete your scars.
Transformation doesn't require pretending the old version of you never existed.
She deserves to be honored.
She survived what you thought would break you.
She carried burdens no one knew about.
She kept showing up when quitting would've been easier.
And now.....
She gets to rest while the woman you're becoming takes the lead.
If you've been waiting for permission to evolve, this is it.
You don't need permission to outgrow places that no longer nurture you.
You don't need permission to dream bigger than your current circumstances.
You don't need permission to become someone you were already created to be.
Growth isn't betrayal.
Its obedience to who you were always meant to become.
So STOP introducing yourself by your mistakes.
Stop measuring yourself by the chapters you've already survived.
Stop believing your best days are behind you.
The woman you're becoming isn't behind you.
She's ahead of yo.
And every decision you make today either moves you closer to her.... or father away.
Choose Her
EVERY SINGLE DAY
A Moment of Reflection
Before you leave, ask yourself three questions:
- What version of myself am I still trying to hold on to?
- What belief about myself is keeping me from moving forward?
- What is one small decision I can make today that aligns with the woman I'm becoming?
